Both kino and avidmux sucked. When selecting a video in avidmux it gives an error cannot add filter the video needs to be transformed
The best software and easieist way to get it done is in the VLC player
Tools >> Preferences...
And select "All" for show settings. Then go to: Video >> Filters >> Rotate
After setting the degree you want, you can rotate by going to Tools > Effects and Filters > Video Effects > Geometry .. .
