i found you can goto the ubuntu software updater and type in KImageMapEditor and download the software (the trouble with ubuntu is you need to keep googling or asking around or trying to find a solution as most of the solutions are not documented clearly or not part of the default setup due to the flexible os solution)

How to uninstall WP Super Cache
Edit the file uninstall.php in your plugins/wp-super-cache/ directory and set UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE to a non blank value.

Open your browser and load wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/uninstall.php directly. You must be logged in, and you must confirm the action. If you do not delete the plugin immediately, after the script runs, please comment out the define() above to stop someone else running it.
To manually uninstall:
1. Remove the WP_CACHE define from wp-config.php. It looks like define( 'WP_CACHE', true );
2. Clear the cache in the backend page and then deactivate the plugin on the plugins page.
3. Remove the Super Cache mod_rewrite rules from your .htaccess file.
4. Remove the files wp-content/advanced-cache.php and wp-content/wp-cache-config.php
5. Remove the directory wp-content/cache/
6. Remove the directory wp-super-cache from your plugins directory.
If all else fails and your site is broken
1. Remove the WP_CACHE define from wp-config.php. It looks like define( 'WP_CACHE', true );
2. Remove the rules (see above) that the plugin wrote to the .htaccess file in your root directory.
3. Delete the wp-super-cache folder in the plugins folder.
4. Optionally delete advanced-cache.php, wp-cache-config.php and the cache folder in wp-content/.

How to add a favicon to your wordpress mp wpmu buddypress default theme
I tried all the plugins on the wordpress site and non of them worked . The all in one favicon plugin even gave a site wide error making my site inaccessible till i went to the cpanel and deleted the plugin (it even disabled the wp admin dashboard)
ok the easiest way to add a favicon to your wpmu site which runs a buddypress default theme is
1) Open your cpanel
2) goto the folder where you installed your wmpu then goto your buddy press them folder wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/ upload your favicon.ico here . Then edit the header.php file there

How to point two domain to the different folders on single hosted space
So you buy two domains
abc.com
xxyz.com
you want
abc.com to point to /runners/
and
xyz.com to point to /business/site files
i could not find this information till today

Solution you need to by an add on domain (the sad part is not many hosting companies have heard of nor offer an add on domain)
You can upload files directly to this addon domain using the username and password for the addon domain to log in through FTP.
In order to use a domain name as an addon you need an addon slot. Addon slot is considered an upgrade and costs $30 per year. It can be ordered from your Customer's area.
Addon domains will need to be registered with a valid domain name registrar before they can be added. Make sure that your account has the ability to use Addon domains before attempting to add one.
The Parked Domains feature allows you only to point a domain to your main site / public_html folder

This is easy to do on ubuntu. On xp/vista you need to first unhide known files extensions then press right click and rename the files. ultraedit makes this easier on windows . The easiest way is to open your cpanel and go to the folder where typo3 is installed

click on the new file icon on the top left and enter the name of the file ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL and click create! done!

IF THE INSTALL TOOL CRASHES...
The Install Tool is checking PHPs support for image formats. However certain versions of PHP (fx. 4.3.0 with bundled GD) will crash when trying to read the PNG test file. If this happens you will see a blank screen or error message.
Workaround: Open the file typo3/sysext/install/mod/class.tx_install.php, go to the line where the function "isPNG()" is defined and make it return "0" hardcoded. PNG is not checked anymore and the rest of the Install Tool will work as expected. The same has been known with the other image formats as well. You can use a similar method to bypass the testing if that is also a problem.
On behalf of PHP we regret this inconvenience.
BTW: This Install Tool will only work if cookies are accepted by your web browser. If this dialog pops up over and over again you didn't enable cookies.

In this step you need to enter your database connection details. The installer will attempt to create a file called bb-config.php in the root directory of your bbPress installation.
on adding the db name db user and db user pwd you get
Your settings have been saved to the file bb-config.php
You can now continue to the next step.
Step 2 - WordPress integration (optional)
bbPress can integrate login and user data seamlessly with WordPress. You can safely skip this step if you do not wish to integrate with an existing WordPress install.
Your WordPress integration cookie and database settings have been successfully validated. They will be saved after the next step.
Once you have finished installing, you should visit the WordPress integration section of the bbPress admin area for further options and integration instructions, including user mapping and the correct cookie settings to add to your WordPress configuration file.
Step 3 - Site settings
Your site settings have been saved and we are now ready to complete the installation. So what are you waiting for?
